Chris and I are back from our weekend getaway to Charleston, SC.  We had a good time attending his friend’s wedding, but I have to say… Charleston was HOT!  And sticky*.  I spent a lot of time in Florida as a kid, and I don’t think that I’ve EVER felt humidity like that.  One of the biggest problems was that every restaurant we went to was open air – a lovely concept, but not really practical.

I had big plans while I was in Charleston to take pictures with my nice camera.  Chris bought me a  macro lens for my birthday, and I had high hopes for using it.  This is about the best picture I got (and I didn’t post-process this)

The rest… well, they taught me that I definitely need to take a class.  So I’ve signed up for the Gale Zucker workshop that I mentioned last week. I love that this workshop is geared toward knitters and other fiber enthusiasts!  It is right up my alley.  And there will be llamas!

We took the plunge and got another dog. The new puppy is a little girl, 11 weeks old, and cute as a button!!! We aren’t sure what we want to call her yet. She’s been Penelope and Lucy, but Dora (because she loves to explore) is very fitting. If anyone has any name suggestions, I’d love to hear them.

According to the Cylon Detector App, which is awesome by the way, my dog is a Cylon. Here’s the proof…
